To ensure a reliable supply of power within the wind turbine, in many cases UPS systems are installed that ensure all the necessary control systems function correctly particularly in case of emergencies.

The question of the choice of the type of system and the related protective measure also arises here.
Many UPS systems are operated as IT systems with insulation monitoring, as a first fault will not result in a shutdown that would counteract the efforts to achieve a reliable source of electrical power.
